I have come to the child care community on a path that has prepared me to serve the special needs of children. A strong interest in wellness and prevention directed me to nutrition as a determinate factor in the outcome of individual growth and development in human biology. Adequate nutrition and positive food experience provides a child with fundamental health and food behaviours that will serve in good stead for the remainder of his or her life.

Patricia Tomas

Many years ago, I realized that my natural career was in the food industry. In fact, my beginnings in food services helped me obtain a BA from the University of Toronto. Following that, I began my food service career in earnest with Cultures Fresh Food -swiftly moving up the ranks to Corporate District Manager. In that role, I was responsible for the operations of 10 locations. I also developed and introduced a first for cultures: a catering program that gained a reputation for quality and customer service throughout the industry.

When we began Choice Childrenʼs Catering 20 years ago, we made a commitment to never compromise the quality of our food or the care and consideration we would devote to client satisfaction. As the firm has grown, we believe we succeed in that goal daily. I am proud to combine my management skills and dedication to service for our customers.

Over and above the daily requirements, I especially enjoy developing events and theme days for cultural holidays and celebrations. My two children have also been an inspiration. We nurture our clients as devotedly as we nurture our own.
